Privacy notice

This site runs without analytics, without ad networks and without tracking cookies. Fonts are served from our own server, not Google.

Check before publishingReplace anything in square brackets. What follows describes how the site actually works as of 5 August 2026. If a service changes, this text has to change with it. Currently noindex.

1. Controller

Ben Macnee, [address], Germany
Email: hello@lathelabs.ai

2. Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted with Fly.io (Fly.io, Inc., USA) on servers located in Frankfurt am Main. When you load a page, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, and browser and operating system information.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the site. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider.

3. Getting in touch

If you email us, we use your details solely to deal with your enquiry, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete them once they are no longer needed and no retention obligation applies.

4. The free audit form

The form on the free audit page is handled by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards your entries to us by email. The details you type in (name, email address, optionally business name and phone number, free text, and best time to reach you) together with your IP address are transmitted to that provider.

The provider is based outside the EU, so this involves a transfer to a third country. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and your consent when you submit the form, Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR.

Open pointBefore going live, check whether a data processing agreement with FormSubmit exists. If not, an EU alternative or a plain mailto: link is the cleaner answer.

5. The AI voice demo

On some pages you can start a conversation with an AI voice agent. This only happens after you actively press the button and grant access to your microphone. No audio is transmitted without that.

During the conversation your speech is sent to ElevenLabs, Inc. (USA) and processed there to generate the agent's replies. Anything you mention is not stored or used by us; it appears only on your own screen. No callback happens and no contact record is created.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, given by starting the conversation. Processing in the USA relies on Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR.

Open pointConfirm how long recordings and transcripts are retained in the ElevenLabs account and state it here. Until that is settled, nothing on the site may claim that no recording exists.

6. Local storage in your browser

The Friction Finder keeps your answers only in your own browser (localStorage) so the result can be shown. That data is never sent to us and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Your language choice is stored the same way. We set no tracking cookies.

7. Fonts

All fonts are served from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font service.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

Write to hello@lathelabs.ai. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, normally the one where you usually live.

9. Encryption

This site uses TLS encryption throughout, which you can see from https:// in your browser's address bar.

This English version is provided for convenience. The German version is the legally operative one.
